Silcock’s events fall into three categories:
Regular fun fairs
Local authorities: Now more than ever, town and city centres are in need of regeneration. A fun fair is the perfect ‘pop up’ event to bring people back into the heart of town, and it needn’t cost your council a penny. In fact, we’ll pay you!
In addition, we also take a selection of our rides to the world famous Nottingham Goose Fair and Hull Fair, two of the largest funfairs in the UK.
Usually we operate on ‘pay as you go’ basis, with rides and attractions priced individually. Often we run special offers, money-saving vouchers etc, as well as occasional ‘pay one price’ wristband fairs.

PRIVATE EVENTS
Silcock’s are highly experienced in the provision of fairground rides at music festivals and other ‘gated’ events. We have a long-standing contract with the world famous Creamfields, Reminisce festival in St Helens, and have previously supplied rides at the V Festival (Weston Park) and Download. Therefore you can trust us to handle the logistics that such highly demanding events entail.
Usually ‘white knuckle’ rides are the order of the day, in keeping with the energetic crowd and party atmosphere at such events. We can also supply family rides, games and catering on request.
The rides really come into their own after dark with their lighting effects. Attractions such as a Ferris wheel/giant observation wheel and other tall rides also make a great backdrop to TV broadcasts, online vides and photos of your event – as well as being the ultimate selfie spot for your guests’ social media posts!
Over the years we have also supplied fairground attractions at events including St Helens Show and various Christmas lights switch-ons.
PRIVATE HIRE
What would make your wedding more memorable than giving your guests a spin on the Dodgems (bumper cars) during the celebrations? Silcock’s can provide this and other rides including a carousel (galloping horses) or traditional fairground games.
We have also supplied rides to proms and balls at establishments including the University of Manchester, University of Liverpool, Runshaw College, Rainhill High School and many more.
A funfair makes a great backdrop to films and television dramas, as well TV commercials, product launches etc. Or why not hire some of our attractions for your Christmas party or corporate event? Your staff/customers will not forget it – and thanks to social media, neither will their friends!
